Additional Info.

"The Netflix drama The Fool of the End is based on the novel of the same name by Japanese author Kotaro Isaka. In the original novel, the asteroid impact is announced eight years prior, with the story taking place when three years remain. However, the drama opts for a more dramatic approach, setting the asteroid impact announcement to 300 days before the event and the story's timeline at 200 days before the collision. Unlike typical disaster stories, the original novel focuses on the lives of those remaining after the initial chaos from the asteroid announcement has settled. Unlike large-scale sci-fi films like Deep Impact or Armageddon, it is a human drama that highlights the everyday lives and emotions of its characters. Similarly, the Netflix adaptation portrays the daily lives of people navigating the final 200 days."
