Basic Info.

​The story centers on Holo, a humanized holographic AI created by the prickly genius inventor Ko Nan-do. Though Nan-do and Holo share the same face, their personalities are entirely different. They both become part of the life of So-yeon, a woman accustomed to solitude. Using the holographic glasses, "Holo Glass," So-yeon is able to see Holo, leading her to experience life in a way she never has before.​

​Youngjae Ryu, the author of You Alone, was reportedly deeply inspired by the 2016 Google DeepMind Challenge Match between AlphaGo and Lee Sedol, which led to the conception of his work. In this historic event, the artificial intelligence (AI) program AlphaGo faced off against Lee Sedol, a brilliant Korean baduk (Go) player, capturing widespread attention. AlphaGo ultimately triumphed with 4 wins and 1 loss. Notably, Lee Sedol's single winning move, often referred to as the "divine move," became a source of inspiration for many artists.​
