Additional Info.

"Despite reaching #1 on Netflix's official non-English language chart, this is the first original production that received no promotion or mention on Netflix's official US YouTube account. It is believed that the drama was never intended to be a hit in the U.S. and was originally produced for the Korean market. The U.S. is known for its harsh punishments, and it was anticipated that a show about Korea's juvenile justice system would be difficult to resonate with American audiences. In an interview, actress Kim Hye-soo, who plays the main character, was asked if there was a character she had particularly connected with, and she chose Shim Eun-seok from Juvenile Judge. Kim Hye-soo also expressed her deep affection for the show, saying she ""truly loved"" the character of Shim Eun-seok. Juvenile Judge was included in TIME magazine’s list of the 10 best Korean dramas to watch on Netflix in 2022, NME’s list of the 10 best Korean dramas of 2022, and was also featured in Cine21’s year-end wrap-up, where journalists and critics selected it as one of the top 10 OTT Korean series of 2022."
