Hitoshi Iwaki, the creator of the original manga Parasyte, expressed his excitement upon hearing that it would be adapted into a Korean drama. He mentioned that while the original manga feels like his child, the live-action adaptation feels like his grandchild. He is particularly excited that the story is set in a new location and country.
