"After ascending the throne, King Sinmun of the ancient Silla Kingdom built Gameunsa Temple near the East Sea in honor of his father, King Munmu. Two years later, news spread of a small mountain heading toward the temple from the east coast. According to a prophecy, King Munmu, now a dragon of the East Sea, and Kim Yu-shin, a celestial deity, sent the mountain to deliver a precious bamboo to King Sinmun. The king found the bamboo on an island shaped like a turtle's head, crafted it into a flute, and named it Manpasikjeok, a magical flute that brought peace and prosperity."
