Additional Info.

"The author revealed that the title ""Moss"" was chosen because moss symbolizes something being covered, much like moss covering a stone. The story unfolds in the closed and gloomy atmosphere of a rural village. As the protagonist Yu Hae-guk uncovers the secrets and conspiracies of the villagers, the gradually revealed truth heightens the tension. Both the film and the original webtoon delve into the intricate psychology and moral dilemmas of the characters, leaving a lasting impression on readers and audiences alike. In the original work, the village's backstory remains unrevealed. However, the movie adaptation includes scenes showing a brighter future for the village, with an influx of people, a building boom, and children playing in a playground. The excellence of Moss was validated by winning the grand prize at the 9th Readers' Comics Awards in 2010. Additionally, in 2012, it was recognized as one of the top 100 masterpieces of Korean comics by the Korea Manhwa Contents Agency, cementing its significance in Korean comic history. The movie also achieved great success. Director Kang Woo-seok received accolades for his exceptional direction, winning the Best Director Award at the 31st Blue Dragon Film Awards and the 47th Grand Bell Awards. At the same event, Jung Jae-young won Best Actor, and Yoo Hae-jin secured the Best Supporting Actor award for their outstanding performances. "
