Additional Info.
The movie Call is based on the 2011 Puerto Rican-British joint film The Caller, but it tells a different story due to significant adaptations. In the original, the relationship between Mary and Rose is one-sided, whereas in Call, Seo-yeon and Young-sook start with a mutual, two-way relationship. Additionally, unlike the original, Call introduces Young-sook from the very beginning, with the narrative alternating between Seo-yeon's and Young-sook's perspectives. The ending is also portrayed differently, and Call is praised for maintaining a faster pace and heightened tension compared to the original.
