Choi Man-chun’s house, 30 ri west of Jeonju Castle, is the setting for Kongjwi and Patjwi. Based on literature and place names, Kongjwi's hometown may have been part of former Geumgu-hyeon, including Dunsan Village in Geumgu-myeon, Gimje-si.
